Hi Jim
There is a little bit of thruth to this. It is reluctantly that I had decided
to sell those. I could indeed use some extra cash to buy some ready to roll
units with DCC & sound just to get me going. I also model the Soo Line from the
fixties and Walthers is coming out in March with a pair of F7s in maroon and
Dulux gold.
Just getting the NCE power Pro-R cab, booster, 30 or more decoders and other
optional DCC accessories in addition to building a brand new layout will be
expensive enough....
This being said, many people also tried to discourage me to convert my VH and
suggested I stayed away from this type of conversion.
Some even suggested my brass VH would loose some of their cash value if I
converted them.
However this groups reaction is overwhelming. I might decide to keep at least
the Consolidation and the Selkirk these are the better looking ones (with the
Jubilee) .
But I still might want to sell the G3, the E7 and the trio of Sunset F3s
I will contact you off list for more on this.
Thanks for the input
Pierre

What's the rush to unload good CPR brass (uness you need the cash to purchase
DCC)?
I personally have about 25 VH brass steamers running on DCC, many with sound.
Granted some had to be remotored (open frame to can), but all in all they run
great on DCC. Everything from the U-3 (0-6-0) up to P-2 Mikados and Royal
Hudson.
