Sounds unbelievable that someone would use unrefined crude
as fuel in a diesel engine. Must have been really light and
sweet stuff. :)

In 1965 CP tried using crude oil in GP9s 8661 to 8685 except for 8672
and 8680.
Bruce Chapman gave me some details.  The test started in June 1965
and was ended by March 68.

Must have been a smoky affair.
