Just before Christmas, I received a newsletter from Kirlin Scale
Models concerning their plans to import a series of HO-scale brass
CPR passenger equipment (coaches and head-end). I'm very interested,
but having never bought brass before, I'm a bit intimidated and
thought I'd do some extra research before deciding. If anyone could
please help me with a couple of questions, I'd much appreciate it.
1) Can anyone comment on Kirlin's past brass imports? They did a
CPR wood combine earlier this year.
2) My modeling interest is primarily CPR's lines in southern BC
prior to 1920 (mainly the Boundary subdivision, but also the Kettle
Valley Railway). Can anyone familiar with Kirlin's proposed models
comment on their suitability for this locale and era? And/or, could
anyone point me towards information concerning the passenger equipment
CPR operated on these lines during that time?
Thanks in advance,
Jeff Hill
