Hi Derek,

I believe it was still in active service till the mid 1970's when
the railway converted it to a Vision Test Car and re-numbered her to
67. She operated out of Winnipeg till being with drawn from service
about 1982, and was scrapped in the spring of 1984 I believe.

 >Does anyone know what happened to CP Dental Car #69? Back in 1965, I
was staying at the Royal York with my family and I wandered across
the street to Union Station and into the John Street yards. No. 69
was the first train photo I ever took in Toronto.

The Dental Car, #69, had been 8-4 sleeping car VAUDREUIL, having been
converted in October, 1960; in January, 1974  it was further
converted to #67 as a Vision Test car. Scrapped September, 1978.

Interesting. According to my information, the Canadian Pacific Railway displayed a Dental Car at North Toronto Station on September 29, 1931 following a brief ceremony. The rolling dentist's office was donated to the Ontario government by CP and completely outfitted with the latest dental facilities by the Rosedale Chapter of the Imperial Order of the Daughters of the Empire. After the display, the car was dispatched to its base in North Bay to provide dental care to remote communities in northern Ontario.

I'd always assumed it was the same car. Obviously it was different.
