Hello,
A friend is building an old Ambroid kit # K-14 of a CP 8-hatch reefer and
he is wondering if there was such thing. The car is wood sided with wood ends
and the assembly instruction show the road number as CP289987.
John Riddell's freight car book has shown a few wooden reefers, but non of them
have 8-hatches. I thought that the 8-hatch type came in first the 40's and then
a wooden 8-hatch reefer would be just fantasy, unless it is a rebuild.
Maybe some one knows a bit more about this.
