We are on RingCentral. Their support isn't the best but their product is
solid, lots of analytics and insights, nice set of features including Zoom
meetings for up to 4 users included with each line, a Slack-like messaging app
and a decent mobile app.
One issue we had initially was the all the numbers have DIDs which we didn't
like since our users didn't have DIDs on the old system and our call routing
setup utilizes a live receptionist. Also they provide SMS on every line which
sometimes gets spammed but not often enough to be a huge problem. If you have
an analog paging system you'll need to check compatibility with your ATAs as
well.
All in all I'd recommend them,

Subject: [CPAGeeks] phone system
We are currently using a NEC 3C phone system. It has some roaming soft phone
options but does not seem to work well. Point being with the remote and mobile
office being more important than ever it is time to move on.
The number of options is a bit overwhelming. I'd like to avoid adding another
layer/vendor and move to Teams. I hear it is a bit primitive but our needs are
pretty simple. Our phone vendor is recommending 8x8 or Ring Central.
Preliminarily they seem solid. We use Comcast internet. They are pushing
their Business Voice Edge. It includes a new dedicated data line and phones
which is a bonus.
So, if anyone has any experience with any of these that would help steer me it
would be greatly appreciated. I'd love to hear some pros and cons.
Again; Ring Central, 8x8, Business Voice Edge or straight Teams.
Thanks much.
Bob
