I ma very pleased to say that we have been able to establish a process to keep
new trees planted at CP2 adequately watered. We bought 8 water bags for the 7
dogwoods that were planted last fall. Cristina Ramos has taken charge of the 4
on 3rd street and Sabahat Chaudhary of the 3 on G.
Adam found 8 more bags that were stored in the room under the Treehouse, so we
added more to Cristinaâs group for other trees that have been planted
recently on the north end of the community. She has lined up help from 2 more
folks who live on that end. If any of you are interested in being part of those
two rotations, please contact Cristina and Sabahat.
What it means is to fill the bags with water at the end of any week where we
donât have about an inch of rain. You can keep track of the rainfall at
http://w1.weather.gov/data/obhistory/KDCA.html. This shows the recent rainfall ;
at National Airport, which is pretty close to ours usually.
