Regarding horses, Yes, of course there are some of us who have both observed
the patterns that are apparent in horse dynamics but also those of us who have
used horses as representatives in constellation work. I was just thinking
yesterday about the idea of eye energy and how we exert this clearly when we
work with horses. A horse responds immediately to the location of a person's
eye contact with parts of its body. If a person simply looks at the hind
quarters, the horse will move forward. If the gaze, without any other external
cue, simply shifts to the shoulder the horse will stop or turn. We work so much
with gaze in constellations that it has interested me to see this particular
instinctive quality in a horse. The power of the eye is great. I know the
topic of horses in constellations has been a topic before but it is always of
interest to me. Thank you for bringing up discussion of these most beautiful
beings. With gratitude, Anni

Dear All,
My family and I have just returned from a weekend Join-up clinic, conducted
by one of Monty's qualified students here in Australia, Lynn Mitchell.
This non violent approach to horse training is world renown and there are
plenty of Youtube clips demonstrating how well it works. I can assure you
firsthand that to see six very different people, some with no horse
experience and a few with a lot, work with eight horses also with varying
levels of training, and for them all to achieve the same 'join-up' moment in
such gentle ways, is awe-inspiring.
Monty Roberts has articulated some fundamental communication characteristics
of the horse that, for me, resonate strongly with what Bert Hellinger has
articulated in the Orders of Love. I am not suggesting there is a direct
correlation between the two, but I am confident that to work with the Orders
of Love in constellation work requires a very similar mindfulness and
attitude that doing a 'Join-up' with a horse involves. In that way, I
consider it a very instructive tool for us as facilitators in our ongoing
training.
Aside from wanting to recommend any facilitator with an interest in horses
to try one of these clinics, I'm also interested to hear more about how
others have explored the relationship between working with horses and
constellation work.
Best wishes,
Dean
