On the subject of hearing voices, it is worth mentioning that Julian
Jaynes in the book The Origins of Consciousness in the Breakdown of
the Bicameral Mind presented a case for the idea that there was a
stage of human evolution in which conscious thoughts were experienced
literally as voices in people's minds. This was before we started to
experience ourselves as "thinking" the thoughts. We heard internal
verbalizations and attributed them to gods or demigods that were

A more recent book, Reflections on the Dawn of Consciousness--Julian

series of further essays and research suggesting that there is

This is just to add to Bill's point about "inflicting harm on people"
with judgements about certain experiences being necessarily
pathological. If we recognize the "placebo effect," then it makes
sense to realize that there is a "voodoo effect" as well. Make people
believe that something is wrong or sick, and they can sometimes
develop sickness or behavioral issues as a result of that belief.

The way you have written about what you know, and have learned about
the diagnozing of schizophrenia is very helpfull for everybody doing
constellation work. Let us always remember: enthousiasm does not
equal in depth training and applying the skills with open heart AND
