Hi All,
Interesting conversation. May I add that I would feel even more connected to
the idea if it shares something about due respect to Africa. I am not saying
this but am saying it; without the role people of South Africa played in the
origin of Constellations work it might not have been. I have to state my
ignorance though in that I do not know what that role is/was exactly. Perhaps
the day Bert landed in South Africa or that he left after his stint in SA.
Sincere festive wishes (to those who honour christmas)

Yes, I think that there is an inherent exclusion as soon as we might choose a
day that excluded many others in the world. As Constellations grow, we may be
creating a huge block for others to enter into the field of constellation work.
And remember, that the hemispheres are opposite for sun days. So there is a
question there that needs to be raised.
I am Canadian and often feel personally overshadowed by what is of the United
States of America. I think to choose anything that is only celebrated by a
portion of the global population will restrict the movements of the spirit mind
as Bert calls it. We are only a few speakers of English and to have
Constellations grow, asserting any day to this is risky.
I would be concerned that a single day would be confining and restrictive
rather than open and inclusive. How might ancestors feel about this? Some may
feel offended I think.
Years even are not looked at the same in different cultures. I think of the
Chinese year that is much different than that of the Christianized western
world.
We cannot let our own wants override the love that embraces all constellations
and those to come. Holidays often create anxiety and misgivings about exactly
what we are celebrating.
I offer some thoughts, but really, I think this idea is a happy place some
people want to be. Believe me when I say that this kind of happy is not
inclusive of that which is violent and sad. These polar ideas are not easily
brought together in a day of remembering.......... many cultures already have
days designated for that.
I have to vote no to this idea.
Love to all! Anni
