Alison -
I was asked to do a Constellation for a haunted house in Finnmark, Norway.
The owners reported afterwards that the dark energy in the house had receded
and the young children living there were now able to sleep well through the
night.
I may have missed the Christian context in your original question. There is
a special consideration that is often present in Constellations, but not
always addressed directly. Others may work differently of course. Once I
worked with a Jewish woman and set up the lineage of her family. Behind
them, I put representatives for the Jewish Matriarchs and Patriarchs. Behind
them, a representative for God and Shekinah. It was clear, that someone
stands behind God. When that representative was added, God became quite
young. Life on Earth, the Earth, and the Universe are far older than the
Jewish-Christian God.
Christian and Jewish theology incorporate a view of Good vs. Evil that was
present in Gnosticism and Zoroastrianism. God judges some as good and others
as evil. Whereas, Constellations incorporates a more ancient orientation to
include everything in its place. In a haunted house Constellation, we do not
seek to banish evil. Rather, as Liz and Rosabelle suggest, we diffuse the
energy by acknowledging, honoring, and giving room in our hearts for those
who came before us.

Subject: Re: [ConstellationTalk] Haunted Houses and Constellations?
Thanks Stephen for your post.
Because I'm working with a Christian group, my approach right now is to
recommend prayer that acknowledges the house and the past inhabitants and
current energies, that welcomes them and honors the lives that they led
including their suffering, and prays for guidance to support peace and
healing.
I think this approach will at least be an opening towards healing movement,
and then we can see what else is needed.
May you be well,
Alison

Hello Allison and others,practice.
I completely concur with Anngwyn. I had an opportunity to assist a
client who was interested in buying a property in a prominent area of
Lima. The place was being offered way below market value for the
square meters of the property. Further inquiry revealed that it had
been used as a district jail during the internal war we had in Peru in
'80's and early '90's and some years afterward. Just walking up to the
door I could sense the presence of very malevolent forces. I chose not
do a constellation as I did not want to expose myself as the
facilitator to such energy. I suggested a native shamanic ritual which
we call "pago a la tierra" which translates as "payment to mother
earth". My client chose not to pursue the purchase any further.
In my old apartment building in Miraflores, another district of Lima,
we had "visitors". When I learned that the building was built on land
that, in ancient times, had been part of vast burial ground and that
during the construction of the building a worker had lost his life the
visitations made sense. One neighbor in particular was "bothered" by
them and I was asked what to do. I counseled to befriend the visitor
and ask what it needed. Once this was done, the personage desisted
from further appearances.
I can appreciate Bert's counsel to Anngwyn but I personally am quite
wary to undertake uninvited constellation work.
Fondly,
Stephen

Hello Alison!
I had a lengthy and private conversation with Bert Hellinger several
years ago sharing my experiences with living in a haunted house in
the
ghostmovement
town of Jerome, Arizona, supposedly the most haunted town in the
USA. He confirmed my hypothesis that one could set up constellations
around the issue of a ghost, poltergeists, hauntings and so forth. He
said, very simply, that the principles were the same whether the
"client" was alive or dead.
In
my experiences, one finds such phenomena in situations and places
where there was severe and unresolved trauma often involving sudden
and/or violent death.
Warm regards,
Anngwyn St. Just

My question has to do with the three Victorian houses they acquired
and are renovating. Two of the homes were used as boarding or group
homes for women.
Yesterday I was visiting the property with a friend. The organizer
was going out of town, but he left me to lead the two of us on a
self-guided tour.
After walking through several rooms, and admiring the beauty and
states of renovation, we walked into a section of the house where Ibeing
immediately had a heavy feeling. We entered two rooms that look like
they hadn't changed in 100 years, and I this painful feeling in my
center, as if
punched in the diaphragm. My friend felt as if she were being choked.door
We immediately rushed out of the room, only to find that the

we entered through was locked. Thankfully, the exit with the fire
escape was open. We left down the fire escape into a raging
thunderstorm that seems to have started the moment we entered this
part of the house!
While I appreciate and find some humor in our gothic ghost story
afternoon, I am feeling very cautious about this property. If it is
possible, I would like to help move the energies in this house.
Can folks share with me any experiences you have doing
constellations for buildings or "ghosts"?
Thanks,
Alison Fornes
