Okay, but can you Edit what you're recording on the DVD with that (like editing
out a commercial from a TV show)?

Would that be cheaper than doing it via PC?

I probably need a good card for the Video input. I have a
TV-tuner card (ATI), but i'm not sure of the quality of it and whether
it even works properly. The last time I had it in my system, it wreaked
havoc and wouldn't do anything.

So, I guess i'm looking for good recommendations for that as well.

thanks

have an audio and video input so the data can come from the VHS?

I've been able to do Audio Tape / Vynil LP (etc) source to MP3 on my
PC for awhile now, using my SB512 inputs and handy-dandy audio
editing Software.

I now have a DVD+/- RW drive and want to start putting some of the
VHS tapes that I have onto DVD.

What software is the best for an older (P3/1ghz) machine with 512MB
RAM and 40GB+80GB IDE HDs running XP?

I'm not sure where to go from here or what to do from here.

Lemme know + thanks!
