     Yes, I've got both, and a stand alone Tascam cd burner (like a tape 
recorder; for cds, though) and I'm looking to buy a good stand alone 
multi-format 
dvd burner as well.
     When I make cds on the puter I prefer to use the E drive (the dvd 
burner) because it also lists the song titles on the cd so I don't have to 
re-type 
them everytime I make a cd cover.  Once the cd is recorded, I just open up the 
label program and it loads the titles at the click of a button directly from 
the cd.  The cd-rw drive won't do that, for some reason.
