Yet another lovely writing exercise . . .
Today?s writing assignment? You are on a deserted island. Feel free to
giveyourself a spiffy tribal name, like ?Dances By Herself? or ?Molly With a
Mullet.?
Back to the matter at hand, you realize you are not alone. The island is
inhabited by three others. 1. Kathie Lee Gifford. 2. Your 89-year-old
neighbor, the one who yells at you for cutting down his oak tree. And 3.
Elvis. (Since he?s been on this island, he has lost weight. However, he
still sports a fetching rhinestone jumpsuit. Could you use this for
shelter? Hmmmm . . .)
Sadly, you are fresh out of glazed carrots, and you must eat one of them.
Choose just one semi-lucky individual, and then tell me why. Feel free to
throw in some lovely semicolons for kicks and giggles.
Write like the wind, swift grasshoppers.
