Great meeting last night, though I think it's the last outdoor one we'll have for the season. We had lights, but the temperature plummeted quickly! Check out the updated website to view: * A synopsis of the meeting: great GPS demos, only minor hypothermia! * A link to a great new article on mobile software development in the Industry News section: "Now is the time" to get started in mobile development. (Thanks to Kathy Green for the pointer) * A view of Dick Grier's door prize: a banner ad to his web site. Oooh! Ahhh! Tell me how you love the cool globe .gif since I spent *all day* on it. ;-) It was asked how many visitors we've had to the Colorado Mobile Developers site. Since we went live with it there have been 145 unique visitors, which seems pretty good for just the first couple of months. No one has submitted a request for proposal from the form supplied for that purpose, but perhaps we should consider a bit of promotion. Interested in your thoughts. My hope is to generate some local traffic since businesses prefer to hire local developers when possible, and hopefully raise all boats at some point in the future. Suggestions are very welcome. We'll make the banner ad raffle a regular thing and sometime hopefully before the October 26 meeting I'll find that Amazon gift certificate in the piles on my desk. Speaking of the October meeting, how about some suggestions for a topic? David ========================= David Beers, Moderator Colorado Mobile Developers www.comodev.com
