What what I have read, there are people who collect just NFTs, there are some

I applaud the artists/creators who are using NFTs to increase their income
and wish them well but I have no desire to participate in the market.

I haven't paid close attention to what Adams is doing, but I want to
emphasize and elaborate a statement from upthread. Namely, an NFT is merely
a digital receipt that has the benefit of being nearly impossible to fake.
So when people say they're selling an NFT, they're really saying they're
selling the receipt. The value of that receipt is based solely on what
others in the NFT space think it's worth. Things get hairy because the value
of the receipt for some (not all) of this stuff is based on the item to
which it attaches. Is an NFT attached to an Adams original valuable because
of Adams, because it's a page from a Batman comic, because its status as an
NFT?
Here's the kicker, if everyone agreed that an NFT was really just a very
robust receipt, the question wouldn't come up. The reason it does come up is
because folks in the NFT space are hyping it as MUCH, MUCH, MORE than a
receipt: "It's a new form of art... An important tool for artists seeking
to escape the grip of their corporate overlords." NFT boosters also (often)
conflate the sale of the NFT with ownership of the image, which the purchase
of an NFT may or may not confer but nevertheless implies thanks that
conflation, so again, in order to hype the product they expose themselves to
scrutiny they'd rather not receive. (The high price of a successful
marketing campaign.)
I've said elsewhere that NFT's are for fans of cryptocurrency and blockchain
tech, not for fans of the art. I'm not seeing anything to change my mind,
but I could also be very wrong. Like I said, I'm no expert. I just hope I've
clarified the situation rather than confused it.

More learning for me!
I knew about the prints issue. I remember for a while it seemed a major
part of what artists were selling at Cons was under threat. I hadn’t
realised it had relevance to CAF. I suppose I don’t buy prints so hadn’t
thought about it.
