NCCUSL drafting committees seek a wide range of observers to participate
in the drafting of uniform acts. I recently served on a drafting
committee dealing with representation of children in abuse and custody
cases. We had observers from the ABA Family Law Section, ABA Children
and the Law Project, National Association of Counsel for Children,
American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, and the National Association of
Family and Juvenile Judges.
NCCUSL will and must seek a wide range of observers from the
collaborative community, including of course IAML.
