Arizona legislators are considering a collaborative divorce statute, similar
to Texas' model. I believe I saw on this board that Oregon might be
considering similar legislation? My question to members in those jurisdictions
are:
1- Was there any significant opposition (or any opposition at all) to Texas'
statute, and if so, on what grounds; and
2-What is the status of Oregon's effort? Is there a bill before the
legislature, and if so, can we see it?
Thank you for any information. An Arizona legislator asked me if Texas had any
opposition and I told him I would follow up.
