What is your interest in Collaborative Law:
My personal and professional experience has shown me that the Collaborative
Divorce Process is the best way to handle a conflict between a divorcing
couple. I have made the decision to stop doing litigation and am solely
focusing only on Collaborative, Mediation and Lawyer Negotiation mattes. I
used to act as a GAL for years – I ceased doing this work in 2013 for personal
and professional reasons. I am much better lawyer and I believe I help couples
and families in a collaborative setting versus a litigation setting. I am one
of the founding members of the Cleveland Academy of Collaborative
Professionals. I was the President of the CACP in 2017 and 2018.
I believe our profession can make a positive impact on families in an ADR
setting. I chose to leave a positive impact and not a negative one.
