I don't think I would lose too much sleep over this "Cordial Divorce" process..
Firstly, it's only a question of when, not if, she will get sued by one side or
the other, and I would guess her insurer may have some coverage issues, so, que
sera;
Secondly, if we look at just how much work it takes two lawyers and even a team
to help most couples find their way to resolution, imagine how that would look
with only one lawyer. I know that when I do mediation, carrying none of the
weight of advising the couples as to the law, it is exhausting.. so, have fun
with your Cordial Divorce;
Finally - as they say, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and the
sprouting up of "Cordial Divorce", "Cooperative Law", etc., etc., really are
just acknoweldgements that the Collaborative process has hit a chord in the
broader society.
