I understand that the March 31st deadline might put a time crunch on some of
you wanting to submit workshop proposals. That date was established taking
into consideration not only the review and selection process but also
printing and mailing timelines. Having said that, I surely don't want that
deadline to dissuade any of you from submitting your proposals to us.
I am working with the Workshop Proposal Review Committee and am managing
that process from our Phoenix office. If you intend to submit a proposal and
are unable to make the March 31st deadline, please contact me directly at
taliakatz@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx. We'll work something out!

Hope you are well. This is an opportunity to say a fond "hello" to you.
I realize that the forum comm. needs time to consider various proposals.
However, this will put a crunch on some people (including me as I head off
on a ski holiday tomorrow) who are taking time off for spring break. For
some, it ends around March 28th, for others, it ends March 31st. I expect
many will be away.
Just wanted to let you know... If the deadline was one week later, it would
provide just the 'right' amount of time for people to carefully consider the
proposals.

New Orleans, Louisiana is coming back -- the historic and cultural
experience that has attracted millions of visitors for decades is as rich,

as one of their top destinations for 2007 and The Today Show in August 2007
named New Orleans as number two in its America the Beautiful series.) IACP
is proud to lend our support by hosting our 9th Annual Networking and
Educational Forum in this courageous, exciting and beautiful city. At this
year's Forum, we are seeking to discuss and explore the opportunities and
challenges facing Collaborative communities throughout the world: How do we
Step Up and Reach Out?
At the 2007 Forum in Toronto, Stu Webb lecturer Michelle LeBaron challenged
us by asking us to consider "who sits at our table." What are our
responsibilities as Collaborative practitioners to underserved communities
and how do we meet those responsibilities? How do we effectuate our goal of
inclusivity? How do we ensure accessibility to the Collaborative process?
How do we encourage and support new professionals entering the field? How do
we take Collaborative Practice to a deeper level?
Our goal is to deliver opportunities to deepen understanding and techniques
to meet the challenges of practice by offering participants original,
engaging, and interactive workshops. We hope to meet the needs of all
participants, including those attending their first Forum, those who are new
to the field, and others who have more experience.
In order to better serve the needs of our increasingly experienced
conference participants, we plan to offer "intra-disciplinary" workshops (by
and for professionals within each discipline) geared to an advanced level.
We seek workshop proposals designed to meet the distinct advanced learning
needs of attorneys, mental health professionals and financial professionals
engaged in Collaborative work. Additional topics of interest include:
