NHTSA launches the 2013 “Click it or Ticket” Campaign:


The 2013 "Click It or Ticket" campaign launched this month as a seat belt 
enforcement mobilization effort and a reminder to motorists about the severe 
risks of driving unbelted, day or night. NHTSA data has shown that while 
nationwide seat belt use was at a record high of 86 percent in 2012, seat belt 
use at night continues to be lower than during the day. To check out the Safe

How to childproof the four highest-risk areas of your yard:  
Consumer Reports advises parents on potential risks to children that may be 
found in your yard. Their recommendations include childproofing lawn mowers and 
poisonous plants. 

 

 

Child heatstroke deaths from being left in vehicles on the rise:
A report published by KidsAndCars.org indicated that in May 2013, six infants 
in the U.S. died of heatstroke after being left in a car for hours. Check out
