Hey guys, Greater Cincinnati Community Shares is an organization which solicits donations and distributes to a couple of dozen really good non-profits in our area. They work like United Way with workplace payroll deductions, but they encourage individual donors to designate which organizations you want your money to go to. (United Way determines who gets how much of the money you give to United Way.) Anyway, they're having a special fundraiser featuring men who cook, so naturally I thought of our talented group. Here's some more info about the event and about the organizations which benefit from Community Shares donations. I thought some of us might want to contribute as cooks or as guests. Hope this is not too long to make it on the listserve or too unwelcome as an unsolicited solicitation. Dan Thank you for your interest in the "Guys, Griddles & Grub" fundraiser for Community Shares! We look forward to a delicious evening. "Guys, Griddles & Grub" will be held Sunday, October 26, 2003 from 6-9 pm at the Museum Center (Union Terminal).
