The U.S. Fire Administration has received notice of the following
firefighter fatality:
Name: Charlie "Littleman" Webb
Rank: Lieutenant
Age: 63
Gender: Male
Status: Volunteer
Years of Service: 20
Date of Incident: 11/6/2004
Time of Incident: 1800 hrs
Date of Death: 11/6/2004
Fire Department Name: Mayking Volunteer Fire Department
Fire Department Address: 87 Highway 1862, Mayking, Kentucky 41837
Fire Department Phone: (606) 633-2697
Fire Department Chief: Archie Crawford
Cause of Death: Lieutenant Webb suffered and died from an apparent heart
attack while responding to a forest fire near Mayking, Kentucky.
Funeral Arrangements: Funeral was held November 9, 2004, at the First
Baptist Church in Whitesburg, Kentucky.
