Springfield firefighters work Saturday to release a hot-air balloon from a light pole along the on-ramp to Interstate 72 from Veterans Parkway. The balloon was coming from a festival in Lincoln when its gas burners malfunctioned and it began to lose altitude. The four passengers escaped injury.
