You are invited to play in the World Chess Parlor Tournament.
The tournament is Swiss style. The time control is thirty moves per hour.
Since a chess clock is usually available, the 2.5 minute rule is being
dropped.
This time, to enter,
you must promise to get at least 2 Good Citizen points by the end of Round 3.
Usually this means that you will be the third-person timekeeper for at least
one game by the end of Round 3. If you have not received at least 2 GC
points, you will be removed from the Tournament.
If you do not have a chess clock, you can write to our chess list, and ask
for someone to show you how
to use a software chess clock. Probably, someone will help you.
You must speak at least a little English or have someone who can help you
with your English.
You can play using Skype or, if your opponent agrees, freechess.org or
Lichess.
The full rules will be emailed with the Round 1 pairings.
Before you enter this tournament, you must get a Skype account, if you do
not have one.
