Roberts Through April 15, at the Glen Helen Building. Come see this collection of semi-abstract environmental landscape paintings. These paintings are a unique approach to addressing the interactions of the ever- changing reality of the physical world and memories. They are often inspired by the artist?s fieldwork as an environmental geologist. Nature Story Hour at the Trailside Museum Every Wednesday at 1:00pm next to 405 Corry St. Preschoolers can discover nature through stories about the natural world. Parents are invited to stay and enjoy the stories with their children. Programs last about an hour and might include a short hike on nice weather days. Nature Story Hour takes place from October through February. Donations welcome! Please call (937) 767-7798 for details. Weekday Wild flower ID Walks Wednesdays in April at 2:30 pm. Meet at Trailside Museum. Discover the wild flowers as they begin to bloom. This guided hike covers varied trails in search of new flowers. Reptile Feeding at the Trailside Museum Saturday, April 1, 15 & 29, at 11:00am. Come to the Glen Helen Trailside Museum, next to 405 Corry St. in Yellow Springs to learn about snakes and turtles, as we feed our resident reptiles. Great for kids of all ages! Donations welcome! Tour the Center and meet our staff and education birds, and watch a red-tailed hawk and great horned owl released for a second chance at life in the wild. Lecture Series: Going Native Naturally for the Birds: Shaping the Future of Bird Conservation Through Backyards and Community Landscaping Wednesday, April 26, 7:00 pm at Glen Helen Building. Casey Tucker, Education Specialist for the Audubon at Home Initiative, will discuss landscaping to benefit birds. Learn about how birds interact with plants, the most beneficial plants for attracting wildlife, and why some plants may actually be harmful to birds.
