Hi Phil,
Regarding choice of cable arrangement on the carbs, the answer is “depends”.
The relative position between the carbs & throttle peddle, bonnet clearance,
exhaust location etc will all come into play.
Also what throttle peddle you are using & what linkages etc come with the carbs
guide the choice.
Are you following some one else’s design or are you working from scratch?
What motor are you using?
The more info you can provide the more the club members can contribute.

Hello Rolf,
First, you don't know me, but I'm in Katikati, now retired and am building a
Lotus Seven copy.
I have 2 questions I hope you can help me with.
1. I'm skinning the car and are wondering which grade of aluminum to use.
Hoping to use 5052 H34 @ 1.2mm and 1.6mm thickness but it's difficult to get.
Any idea of what is the second choice?
2 It has two DCOE carbs, how do I choose between twin cable upper or lower, or
single cable upper or lower?
