Brian,

Been in touch with an operator today and it is hoped he will be able to supply
the detail you require.   Interestingly it seems Ulrich does supply aviation
grade al alloy sheet without the required aviation certification? This is
almost certainly going to be cheaper than the certified aviation equivalent.

More tomorrow.

Regards,

Paul L-H

Paul,  do you know who might supply this in NZ ?

All,

You may also want to have a look at L165 as an alternative.  Predominantly used

Not sure of the price though. Sorry.

Hello Rolf,
First, you don't know me, but I'm in Katikati, now retired and am building a
Lotus Seven copy.
I have 2 questions I hope you can help me with.

1. I'm skinning the car and are wondering which grade of aluminum to use.
Hoping to use 5052 H34 @ 1.2mm and 1.6mm thickness but it's difficult to get.
Any idea of what is the second choice?

2 It has two DCOE carbs, how do I choose between twin cable upper or lower, or
single cable upper or lower?

Really hope someone knows!

Phil Christophersen
