I'm not going to kayak at Melones.( I'll be kayaking at McSwain
though.)
I'll be tenting 2 nights and will just be in my car, so no wood this
time.
Looking forward to the get together.

Really looking forward to seeing everyone! I’d like to get an idea of
how many are bringing their kayak/canoe.
Also, should everyone bring a little wood? People can
“reply all“ to this email. Thanks

Hi all,
Pretty soon we’ll be out frolicking in the wildflowers at Glory Hole
Recreation Area (Ironhorse campground) on the Calaveras side of New
Melones.
Here are a few details that might be helpful:
--Check in time is 3pm, check out time is 2pm.
--Water level of the lake is low. The Angels Creek boat launch is
closed, but the main launch area at the marina is open.
--The campsite bathrooms have sinks and flush toilets. These same
bathrooms also have showers; to use them you’ll need at least two quarters.
--The dump station is closed, according to the sign at the entrance.
--If anyone would like to come by for the day and not camp, it’s $4 for
seniors and $8 for non-seniors as an overflow vehicle/camp visitor.
Boat launch fees for visitors are $5 for seniors and $10 for
non-seniors.
--If you haven’t made a reservation yet to camp, sites 10 and 8 are
still available, as well as many walk-in tent sites. Just go to
Recreation.gov to book a site.
The weather forecast looks great for April 16-19th.
Looking forward to seeing everyone there!
