I will likely drive over for one of the days; not bringing a kayak or

Subject: [camping-women] Spring Fling New Melones campout April 16-19
(Friday-Monday)
Hi all,
Pretty soon we’ll be out frolicking in the wildflowers at Glory Hole
Recreation Area (Ironhorse campground) on the Calaveras side of New Melones.
Here are a few details that might be helpful:
--Check in time is 3pm, check out time is 2pm.
--Water level of the lake is low. The Angels Creek boat launch is closed,
but the main launch area at the marina is open.
--The campsite bathrooms have sinks and flush toilets. These same bathrooms
also have showers; to use them you’ll need at least two quarters.
--The dump station is closed, according to the sign at the entrance.
--If anyone would like to come by for the day and not camp, it’s $4 for
seniors and $8 for non-seniors as an overflow vehicle/camp visitor. Boat
launch fees for visitors are $5 for seniors and $10 for non-seniors.
--If you haven’t made a reservation yet to camp, sites 10 and 8 are still
available, as well as many walk-in tent sites. Just go to Recreation.gov to
book a site.
The weather forecast looks great for April 16-19th.
Looking forward to seeing everyone there!
