CVFR 35th Anniversary Relay
WHEN: SATURDAY 23RD OCTOBER AT 1.30PM
WHERE: STUBB FIELD, MYTHOLMROYD
As part of the club's 35th Anniversary celebration, we are holding the
relay-to-beat-all-relays in the afteroon before the anniversary party.
There will be special guests, there may be cake, there will be plenty of
excitement, some great racing and the occasional penalty for people who insist
on running too fast!
The relay is in teams of 4 over a 4.6km course that loops out onto Erringden
Moor with the race HQ on Stubb Field.
It is open to club members and any founder member who fancies a go.
This isn't just about running as fast as you can but also a celebration of
everyone who runs with the club and, of course, we want to involve juniors
(aged 12 years and above) in the event.
There will be prizes for teams that include combinations of at least two of the
following - a Junior, a Founder member, an FV50, an MV60 - as well as women's,
men's and mixed teams.
Prize giving will be at Mytholmroyd Community Centre at 4.30ish.
So, start putting your team together and I'll get more information out over the
next few days including entry details, the Baton Design Competition and
details of the course.
I will need plenty of help on the day including 3-4 marshals who aren't running
as well as volunteers from team runners who can help out while they wait to run
or after completing their run.
