Hi all,
Probably most of you know it already, but I recently tried VariCAD (
www.varicad.com , 15-day trial version availible ), and even if it's not
open-source, at least it can open DWG (even version 2004, as they are part
of that openDWG group), which I find is the big problem with linux cad
programs.
Other good thing is that it's pretty stable, it looks like real linux code
(not like intellicad which runs through wine and is pretty unusable).

Ah I had a little trouble making it run on debian with KDE3.3, as varicad
seem to need kde2 libraries. I solved the problem reading this post and
responses: http://lists.debian.org/debian-user/2003/08/msg02786.html

Cheers,
Yorik
