Conceptually, LandXML could be an embedded "Model" stream in DesignXML.  Said 
another way, DesignXML provides a container for information in various formats 
(2D, 3D, Bitmap, etc.) and some conventions for linking information together.

Out of interest, what's the main differences between LandXML and
DesignXML?
