And one against.
I was expecting a significant rise in the excess death rate among young
people.
If it is happening, it is less impressive than I was expecting. The claim
that the jab is saving lives is not obviously and outrageously stupid. It is
not obviously true either.
The first part of this appears to be a false assumption. The
purpose of vaccinating people younger than 50 is not so much to
prevent them from dying as it is to prevent them from getting infected
and then infecting those more likely to die, that is, those over 50, etc.
Since the younger generally have a lower death rate from the disease,
immunizing them against it would not be expected to lower the death
rate as much as the older. That's not the main purpose of it.

If you like confirmation bias based on false information, wrapped in
inflammatory language.
I prefer peer-reviewed, double blind science, the large majority of
which supports use of the vaccines.
The effects of the disease can be very bad, including to relatively young,
healthy people, even with good treatment. This is well documented
in science. The effects of the vaccines appear to be far less bad
than the disease.
I'm not going to ask people to take conspiracy theories or
pseudoscience elsewhere, since I believe deeply in freedom of
expression, but I hope libertarians are generally intelligent
enough to not fall for them. Maybe I'm mistaken about that.
Freedoms come with responsibilities. The right to freedom of
expression comes with the responsibility to use it thoughtfully and
carefully IMO.
I believe freedom always wins in a free marketplace of ideas, but we
also have some responsibility as freedom-supporting people to not
pollute the marketplace.
