The lag for me in performance only comes from doing IYP tours, E.G.
Trip around the World, in online mode. Everything else, such as IYP
VA, is fine in online mode.

I can’t address your dictation performance issue, though I’ve occasionally
experienced something similar. Orin mentioned the other day that it seems to
somehow be related to the online mode, though I’m not sure how accurate that
is.
Concerning the checklists, I’m sure it’s possible to bypass some if not all
of them. However, I’d point out that pilots in the real world certainly
wouldn’t, so it’s not my personal preference for realism. To each their own,
of course.

I have FSX Steam edition up and running with IYP.
My system is a fairly recent Dell XPS 13 laptop with an I5 processor.
I'm finding the speech recognition seems a bit sluggish. When I give
IYP a command, it takes around 2 or 3 seconds to hear the command
confirmation click and then another couple seconds to hear the speech
response. Does anyone have any ideas to speed this up?
My system has 8gb of ram and i use NVDA, which is much easier on RAM than
JAWS.
I have my graphics settings in fsx set to minimal.
Also, is it absolutely necessary to go through all the checklists in
IYP? Especially if I remember what the items are?
