Greetings Kevin
The menu bars of FSX is not accessible with jaws. here's what actually happens: while you're in flight, make sure always that you're in the windowed mode. I think the right shortcut for it is alt+enter. when you are in windowed mode, it's easier to alt tab out of the simulator, and jaws navigation is almost easier. Now, when you press alt, jaws says nothing. if you navigate the menu bars, jaws still says nothing. but when you press alt again, jaws reads fsx window. it says something like
"microsoft flight simulator X"
So, you actually either need to remember the shortcuts or hotkeys for the menus, or remember the arrow keys to arrow to your required menu item. It's been more than 5 months that i haven't flied, so my example is most likely wrong, but here's an example When you're flying, i think alt+a takes you to the world menu bar. then if you press A again, you will go to the choose aircraft window. so yeah, gotta remember those. When i get back to flying I should make a hotkey sheet for those things.

Hi,
I deleted the original message for this thread accidentally, so don't remember what the subject was, but the jist of this is that I see no menu bar in FSX. I tried, as Robert had suggested to go into Windowed mode vs full screen mode, and that didn't seem to make a difference. I'll see if I can find someone sighted to see if the menu is even showing, because I'm pressing alt, and JAWS is silent. So I have too possible guesses here. Either A. there is no menu to show for some reason, or b, JAWS just can't see it.
