How to interpret IYP error messages. Using your example of 1001:76 1. Open a browser and go to the IYP website: http://www.itsyourplane.com/ 2. Click on the link at the very top entitled: BLIND PILOTS CLICK HERE 3. Scroll down and click on the link entitled: SITE MAP 4. Scroll down and click on the link entitled: FAQ 5. Click on the top link entitled: I received an Error Message. What does it mean? 6. Scroll down and read error message number 1001. It reads: An error has occurred while attempting to read the aircraft CFG file. 7. After the colon in the error message, there is the number 76 which is the DOS error number. Going to the top of the FAQ page, there is a list under the heading: DOS Error Code Definitions 8. Going down to 76, it reads: Path not found when attempting to create a folder. For an in-depth description of how to read IYP error messages, at the very top of the FAQ page it reads: === START OF EXCERPT === Usage: 1001:8 means an error has occurred while attempting to read the aircraft CFG file, as explained in the second list below entitled Error Messages and Descriptions, and the number 8 after the colon (:) means Insufficient memory as explained in the DOS Error Code Definitions list. === END OF EXCERPT === I hope this helps.
