The question we all should be thinking about is:
What can MCE do that IYP currently can't?
The answer to that question is, quite frankly, a lot.
1. Intigrates with far more third party aircraft's and addons, Ground
Services X being one of the cooler addons that I doubt IYP could work
around due to how it is designed.
2. It's getting updates and support: I understand Robert had to stop
this for multiple reasons, but I'd prefer to use software that is
updated on a regular basis--IYP could update aircraft's every once in
a while if life is preventing everything else.
3. The next update is getting BVI mode improvements plus, and here's a
big one, PF3 support: I told the MCE developer that I was having
issues with taking off, and he'll be adding some stuff to the BVI mode
to help with flap retraction, etc.
4. The MCE interface is way easier than IYP's to navigate: None of the
focus issues with IYP happen with the MCE interface. No lag either.
Granted, there is a few more things that IYP can do that MCE can't
that I hope to address to him soon, like adding distance/direction to
airport commands, etc. That, and giving altitude information because
the default aircraft don't have a talking radar system like some of
these third party aircraft.
Is it usable yet? No, but you'd be surprised what a committed
programmer can do with frequent updates, and help from people like us.
Some of you bought it, so those of you that did should help with this
effort and support improving the BVI mode in other ways than just
telling him to "implement auto-landing".

Joshua, I never could get through all of the check lists like I can with
IYP.
Nor does MCE have a VA mode.

I have started some dialog with the Multi Crew Experience developer again.
Let's start with one thing at a time with the BVI mode, instead of
outright telling him to implement auto-landing, since he has said multiple
times he doesn't know how to implement it.
I'd urge everyone to help out with this project. Due to problems I've had,
he's helping us with flaps and taking off.
