It took me some time before I was able to set up the perfect laboratory
conditions for the listening of this piece, that being an empty house
during the day with no other sources of noise interjecting. That time was
today, and I grasped my opportunity eagerly.
At first I tried cranking this on the Panasonic SA-PMX70B mini system in
the study with bass and treble at +4. The room was small enough to contain
the sound produced by its small speakers, creating the desired volume and
resonance. However after about 30 seconds I realized that a prime
opportunity existed to annoy the neighbours who had once stuck a
screwdriver into the side of Rick's tyre when he was parked out front.
I downloaded a 320 Mbps good quality copy of the track and played it at
high volume on the Bose in the lounge room with the bass module at full,
well outside the City of Joondalup's guidelines for playing music with a
dominant bass component. The experience was all together pleasurable, well
above average on the TTT selections covering this calendar year. At the
completion of the track I heard the two dogs next door madly barking and
realized that my experiment had reached a satisfying conclusion.
My thanks to you Rick for the track selection and the volume/bass
recommendations. I hope you can gain some small satisfaction that you were
able to piss off the tyre vandals by proxy.
