Interesting... vocals sound a touch 'off' IMHO and it misses Ms Newton
John's high notes and emotion. Jeff sounds like he doesn't really care
about Xanadu at all.
I like the rockier mix though.

As originally known as the title track from the movie Xanadu, sung by
Olivia Newton-John. This is in fact an ELO song, with Olivia on vocals.
When ELO/Jeff Lynne did some work on a reissue of their back catalogue,
this track was re-recorded in the "Lynne" production style with his own
vocals. You'll hear The Travelling Wilburys, some Tom Petty and George
Harrison from his Cloud 9 album in the sound. I only learned of its
existence after going down a Tom Petty rabbit hole on YouTube yesterday,
which eventually took me to his work produced by Lynne (I won't Back Down,
Free Fallin') then on to The Travelling Wilburys, then onto Lynne and ELO
and eventually this gem.
I personally love both versions, but then I've long been a big fan of both
Lynne/ELO and Lynne so naturally they'll both appeal to me.
