Hi all, The plot thickens! Got pictures of the adult perched, then very
shrouded ones of the juvenile on the nest in the top of the sycamore in the
front yard right by the road. The nest is visible from the street from
below on the west side of the tree. I was also able to make recordings of
the juvenile giving the usual two-noted call from the nest as the adult sat
close by in the large dead tree- but wind and noise was bad. The adult was
quiet this morning but heard at least two calls while there near noon. It
was observed leaving the large dead tree, then returning to the nest on two
occasions. The juv was seen moving toward the adult and also heard giving a
thin, hissing begging on both occasions. Through bins it appeared to be
fully feathered. Hard to tell from pics but it may have a way to
go. Interesting stuff!!

Will keep updated as time allows. (:

Terry
