[Bristol-Birds] east Bristol vulture rroost using White Pines

          A winter roost of between 150 and 200 vultures is again, this year,
          present  in the subdivision adjacent to Middlebrook Lake. While
          I did not get a count of each species, it was notable that Black
          Vultures were in significant numbers.

          Friday, under dark clouds at 4:30 p.m., they were flying into 
          roost when I took this photo.

          The birds were going into tall rows of White Pines which had
          many years ago been planted at the back or along sides of the home
          lots.  Nearly all of them attempted to land in the top one-third of 
each
          tree.
