Area Birders, At daybreak this morning a male Yellow Warbler was hopping about in the apple blossoms just outside our bedroom window. He arrived right on time. It was the 15th. last year when this species showed up in our yard. We usually have one, sometimes two pairs nesting around the yard. Here is a photo of the little fellow if you would like to take a look. http://www.bcplnet.org/birdclub/gallery/YWarbler3.htm Later in the day the first Ruby-throat appeared at the oriole feeder in the cherry tree. This one was one day earlier than last year. This evening my wife, Lynda, heard a Hooded Warbler singing at the edge of the woods.
