2129 Broadwing hawks were counted today at Mendota under beautiful clear skies.
Also counted were 4 ospreys, 4 sharp shinned hawks and one red headed
woodpecker flying down the ridge.
Larry McDaniel says that's the second best count for broadwings he's seen at
Mendota. Other observers include (in order of arrival) Bob Quillen, Jackie
Henshaw, Marion Finucane and Chris Morgan (and Bozo), George Carlin and Violet
at the gap,
Phil Shelton, Nina, Dean and Sean Gates, and Sam and Christine Gates.

It's peak week for the Mendota hawk migration so should be more good days this
week!
