Area Birders,
After birding Burkes Garden in Tazewell Co. on Saturday, my wife,Lynda, and I,
along with David Raines, another member of the BCBC, made a stop to check out
the small lake in Lincolnshire Park in Tazewell. There we found several
fishermen, a Pied-billed Grebe, and at the more secluded upper end of the lake
we found a female Ruddy Duck. The bird was very shy and continued to dive and
put distance between it and us. The bird was still there on Sunday morning,
feeding not far from a flock of 22 Canada Geese.
Enjoy the birds,
