November 18, 2006 Greene Co., TN I grabbed a little birding time this morning and spent it at a few spots in western Greene County. The most notable find was a Ross's Goose on Jim Kirk Road, in a corn stubble field about a tenth of a mile from Mohawk Creek Road. Interestingly, three Ross's Geese were here, in almost exactly the same spot, on December 18-19, 2003. Also present, at various other sites nearby, were: Gadwall (23) Northern Shoveler Green-winged Teal (2) Ring-necked Duck (5) Pied-billed Grebe American Coot (2). Elsewhere in the county, I also found a Great Horned Owl and a Brown Thrasher. Don Miller Greeneville, Greene Co., TN pandion@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
