Rick Phillips set to speak
for BBC, Fri., Sept. 24, 6 p.m., Banquet

Rick Phillips, a member of the biology faculty of East Tennessee
State University, will be the speaker when members gather for the
club's annual banquet.

Rick is a former U. S. Forest Service Research Biologist who
studied birds in the western NC mountains while stationed at
Clemson University. He teaches Biology at the ETSU Kingsport
University Center. He is not only a talented birder but also a
former raptor trapper and bander in Northeast Tennessee. His
talent as nature photographer is well recognized as one of the
region's very best. He literally submitted thousands of bird
photos for Rick Knight's 2nd edition Birds of Northeast Tennessee.

The banquet is open to all birders and their guests from across the
region.

This year's banquet will again be hosted by the good ladies of the
Addilyn Memorial United Methodist Church in Bristol, TN.
The church is located just two blocks off the Volunteer Parkway
and one mile north of the Mad Greek Restaurant.

This is going to be one or our more enjoyable banquet programs.

Hold the evening of Sept. 24, 6 p.m., on your calendars and plan to be
with BBC.

Let's go birding . . . .
