[Bristol-Birds] Rick Knight relocates Piping Plover at South Holston; sees additional color bands on bird

Rick Knight called at 10:39 a.m. today, 3 Sept 2014,
and reported that the Piping Plover is still at
Musick's Campground on South Holston Lake.
Some of you have called about that bird this
morning so I thought you might want to know
about the opportunity.
Also, Rick provided very valuable additional
information because he was able to get a good
look at the color markers.
He confirmed the exact sequence for the
markings which includes a green flag on
the right leg and a combination of three
additional color bands on the left leg. He
does not see an aluminum USF&WS bird
band.
