Lisa Tyler's report on the Herndon Bird Club's field trip to the Big Bald Banding Station on Saturday, October 2, follows. On Saturday, October 2, Joe McGuiness, Kim Stroud, Charles Moore, Vern Maddux and Lisa Tyler assisted in the banding operation at Big Bald. Kathy Gunther and her crew taught HBC members, along with about a dozen hikers of all ages, what banders look for when recording data.
